Lula and Macron talk about the environment and bilateral cooperation

The presidents of Brazil and France, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Emmanuel Macron, talked for an hour on the phone on Thursday (Jan. 26). Both aligned to more left-wing oriented policies in world politics.

They talked about what they consider "risks hanging over democracy" regarding the violent actions of Brazilian Spring protesters.

Still, on political strategies, they talked about the problems generated by fake news.

On Brazil-France relations, Lula invited Macron to visit Brazil and visit the shipyard in Itaguaí (RJ).

There are built conventional submarines and nuclear propulsion resulting from bilateral cooperation.
