Lula willing to run against Bolsonaro in 2022 presidential election

Brazil's leftist ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is willing to run in the 2022 elections to dispute the re-election of right-wing Jair Bolsonaro, whom he considers a "fascist" and "genocidal".

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In statements made on Thursday, April 15th, to Argentine radio station C5N, when asked about the possibility of running for election once again, Lula said that "if necessary and if I must be a candidate in 2022 to win the elections against a fascist who is called Bolsonaro" he will do so.

These statements come after Brazil's Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the ruling of one of its Justices, which annulled the convictions handed down . . .
