RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Commodities trading companies Louis Dreyfus (LDC) and Amaggi have teamed up to convert freight forwarding platform Carguero into an independent company, the two companies said in a statement on Tuesday, June 15.
The information was disclosed earlier by Valor Econômico newspaper, which also indicated partnerships with agribusiness multinationals Cargill and ADM.
"Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) confirms that a set of corporate operations involving the Carguero joint venture is under analysis by the Brazilian competition body and other regulatory entities," the company statement said.
