Landless Movement Leader Kidnapped and Killed in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The leader of the Brazilian Landless Workers' Movement (MST) in Paraná, Ênio Pasqualin, has been found dead. Investigators do not rule out the possibility of a politically motivated death.

His body was found on Sunday morning near the settlement of Ireno Alves dos Santos in the state of Paraná. According to the MST and the Brazilian online news portal Brasil de Fato, the injuries suggest that Pasqualin was shot.
