IBGE slightly reduces estimate for Brazil 2021 grain harvest to 250.9 million tons

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Brazilian grain harvest this year, which is in its final stage, is expected to reach 250.9 million tons, 1.3% less than in 2020, according to the new Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), released on Thursday (07). Compared to the forecast released last month, the estimate is 0.3% lower.
