HempMeds to provide medical cannabis to Brazilian professional martial arts fighters

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Cannabidiol use is growing among athletes after its removal from banned substances list.

After the World Anti-Doping Agency announced the removal of cannabidiol from the banned substances list last year, many athletes - professional and amateur - have been advocating the use of medical cannabis in sports.

According to experts, the cannabinoid can benefit athletes because of its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
