Gripen fighter jet begins its supersonic test phase in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The new Brazilian fighter jet, the Saab Gripen E, has begun its supersonic speed test phase in the skies above São Paulo countryside. The flights began on February 26th in the município of Gavião Peixoto, located in a sparsely populated area some 300 kilometers northwest of the capital São Paulo.
