Flight demand in Brazil down 17.8% in September compared to pre-pandemic period

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The figures released on Tuesday, October 26, by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) show an improvement compared to August, when the drop reached 22%. At the peak of the crisis, in mid-April 2020, the slump exceeded 90%.

Airline capacity in seats per kilometer (ASK) fell by 17.4% in September. In total, 5.8 million passengers were carried, down 25.1% compared to the same month in 2019.

Aircraft occupancy in the month stood at 81.2%, down 0.6%.
