Dollar rises for the second straight day

The commercial dollar closed higher for the second day in a row on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The North American currency hit R$5.22, a high of 0.5%. At the same time, the Ibovespa closed at almost 110 thousand points, appreciating just over 1%.

The external scenario contributed to the dollar performance. According to the newspaper Valor Econômico, there was a global tendency for the North American currency to rise.

The indicators of the North American economy presented yesterday were seen positively by the market.
