Brazil’s 2nd quarter GDP drops 0.1% from 1st quarter – IBGE

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) registered a 0.1% drop in the second quarter of 2021, compared to the previous three months, in the seasonally adjusted series.

Compared to the same quarter in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, the Brazilian economy grew 12.4%.

In the first half of 2021, GDP has accumulated a 6.4% expansion. In the 12 months ending in June 2021, GDP grew 1.8%.
