Brazil’s consumer price index rises 0.80% in first week of July – FGV

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index - Weekly (IPC-S) was 0.80% in the first measurement of July, after a 0.64% increase at the end of June, and is at 8.63% accumulated over 12 months. The data are from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Of the eight expenditure items included in the index, the largest contribution came from the Education, Reading, and Recreation group, which rose from 1.15% at the close of June to 2.39% in the initial reading for July. In this class of expense, it is worth mentioning . . .
