Landslides: Brazil’s Paraná state decrees emergency situation in the region of Curitiba and the Coast, at least 30 missing

At least 30 people are missing following a landslide on a highway in Guaratuba, on the coast of the Brazilian state of Paraná, which affected more than a dozen cars and trucks, according to firefighters' estimates.

The government of Paraná decreed a situation of emergency in the Eastern region of Paraná, comprising the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba and the Coast.

The approval comes after several landslides hit the state, such as the one registered at km 669 of BR-376 in Guaratuba.
