Brazilian Government announces 7.42% increase in the minimum wage in 2023

The Brazilian government announced on Thursday an increase in the minimum wage of 7.42% starting in 2023, from the current R$1,212 (US$228) to R$1,302 (US$245).

The Official Gazette of the Union published on Monday a decree signed by the president, Jair Bolsonaro, with the increase in the minimum wage, although it must still be endorsed by Congress.
