Brazil: US impasse pushes dollar and stock market down

In Ibovespa, the main index of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), the instabilities coming from the foreign market pulled performance down on Monday, 22.

The indicator ended the week's first session down 0.48%, at 110,000 points.

Investors are closely monitoring the unfolding of the United States debt ceiling, which is still under negotiation.

The market also awaits the vote on the new fiscal framework, expected to happen this week.

The week tends to be decisive in the negotiations involving the North American government because, within ten days, the US National Treasury should start running out of money . . .
