Unemployment rose again in Brazil during the first quarter of 2023 - the period marks the beginning of the Lula administration. The rate rose by almost 1%.
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released the data on Thursday, 18.
They are part of the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD).
The unemployment rate rose to 8.8%, after one quarter of the Lula 3 government.
According to PNAD records, the Bolsonaro administration left the country with the indicator at 7.9%.
The information from IBGE shows that the number had not grown since the beginning of 2021 . . .
