Lula da Silva’s Brazil separates itself from emerging countries and is left out of the biggest rally since 2016

Brazil missed out on the biggest monthly rise for emerging assets since 2016 amid fears that President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) will embark on a spending spree, which has clouded prospects for Brazilian markets.

The MSCI Brazil index is down more than 6% in November, heading for its worst month since June and on the heels of a 14% gain in the benchmark . . .
