Brazil seeks to reindustrialize without affecting environmental sustainability, minister says

The new Brazilian government seeks to reindustrialize the country taking into account environmental sustainability, according to the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, yesterday.

From Davos, where he arrived on Monday to participate in the World Economic Forum being held in this Swiss city, Haddad said that "the economic model we defend" includes fiscal and social responsibility, which are inseparable.

Regarding the environmental agenda, Haddad highlighted having traveled with Marina Silva, Minister of the Environment, and that the objective is to go beyond the resumption of the commitment to reduce deforestation and investment in renewable energies.
