Brazil has record revenue from oil and gas royalties in May – ANP

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - This month Brazil set new records for the collection of royalties and special participations from local production of oil and gas, said on Friday ANP regulator.

Royalties in May, from March production, will total R$3.3 billion (US$626 million), an 18% increase compared to April and a 150% increase compared to the same month in 2020, the agency said in a press release.

Special participations, which are calculated quarterly and collected from fields with large volumes pumped, reached R$9.135 billion in May, referring to production between January and March, up 69% compared . . .
