Brazil can harvest 134 million tons of soybeans, says consultancy Safras

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Should this be confirmed it will be a record for the country, which harvested 127.1 million tons in 2019/2020. In the previous report the consultancy bet on a harvest of 133.1 million tons.

The area of soybean planted in Brazil for this crop was estimated at 38.65 million hectares, or 3.3% higher than the 37.43 million hectares of the previous season. The survey indicates that average productivity should increase from 3,415 kilos per hectare to 3,487 kilos.
