Brazil: agribusiness opens 2023 with record exports

Brazilian agriculture and cattle-raising had record revenues with exports in January.

The revenue from sales to other countries hit US$3.7 billion.

The amount is the highest in the federal government's historical series, representing a growth of almost 10% over the result for the same month last year.

The information is from a survey conducted by Revista Oeste on the Trade Balance.

Of the Brazilian trade balance results, the highest amount of agricultural and cattle-raising exports in January came from fresh corn.

The grain generated half of the sector's revenue from the foreign market.
