Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission's President, is slated to meet with President Lula da Silva in Brasilia this Monday as part of her Latin American tour.
This visit, concluding on Thursday, is a precursor to the upcoming summit between the European Union (EU), Latin America, and the Caribbean (CELAC).
The summit, taking place in Brussels on July 17 and 18, seeks to reaffirm the strategic significance of the partnership between these two blocs.
While in Brasilia, von der Leyen will hold a bilateral meeting and a working lunch with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
